For Your Consideration is a wonderful near mint Wright & McGill Stream & Lake SL8642 Bamboo Fly Rod. This classic Colorado made rod is 8'6" long and casts a 5 or 6 wt line beautifully. This is truly one of the great classic fly rods as mentioned in many John Gierach and Ernest Schweibert stories. The first Wright & McGill bamboo fly rod I ever owned and fished regularly was a SL8642. This is a fantastic rod to both collect and fish. Everything is full length and tight on this rod. The cork grip is in excellent shape with no issues and has the original shrink wrap. Original W&M Granger Nickle Silver ferrules with witness marks. The script is all there and legible on the pleasing, slightly swelled butt. I don't think this rod has ever been fished. The patented internal up-locking Nickle Silver reel seat works great. Original Perfection tip tops, snakes and stripping guide. Comes with the original bag (looks brand new) and original tube with correct label. This rod needs no work and is ready to fish. You don't see many classic rods in this nice of condition. Here's your chance to own a true collector's museum piece.
For Your Consideration is a wonderful Orvis Madison Far & Fine 7.5' 5wt Bamboo Fly Rod. This classic Vermont made rod is 7'6" long and casts a 5 wt line beautifully. This is a fantastic rod to both collect and fish. Everything is full length and tight on this rod. The cork grip is in excellent shape with no issues. Original Orvis Nickle Silver ferrules fit perfectly and seperate with a pleasing pop. The script is all there and legible on the pleasing, honey colored cane. The reel seat works great and is reminiscient of the famous Payne style seat. Comes with the original bag and original brass dome capped tube with correct label. This rod needs no work and is ready to fish.
For your consideration is a Phillipson Pacemaker 8' 5wt Bamboo Fly Rod. 3 piece, two tips. One tip is a bit short. The full length tip had a very small chip out of one flat near the ferrule. I glued on a reinforcement piece of bamboo on the chip and did a clear silk overwrap. I like the action on the short tip personally. It quickens up the action just slightly. This Colorado classic cane rod casts a 5wt line extremely well. A beautiful dry fly rod for the streams and rivers here in the rocky mountains. Bill Phillipson was the head of the Goodwin Granger shop in Denver, Colorado before Wright & McGill bought Granger. This 8' Phillipson taper is basically the same as the famous Granger 8040 taper praised by Ernest Schweibert in his book "Trout". The 8 foot Grangers and Phillipsons are wonderful fishing rods that are getting harder and harder to come by. This rod has a really comfortable full wells grip. Includes the original sock and a non-original vintage aluminum tube. Features the cool Phillipson and Granger Green silk wraps tipped gold. This is an earlier, varnished rod, not one of the later, impregnated models. The handwritten script on the rod is 100% with a little a7 on one flat near the front of the cork. A wonderful rod to both collect and fish.

There were only 1,000 of these reproduction reels made in celebration of Hardy's 125th Anniversary. These reproduction Bougles are hand assembled and stamped with each reel maker's initials.
